Description

Testosterone propionate is a commonly manufactured, oil-based injectable testosterone compound. The added propionate ester will slow the rate in which the steroid is released from the injection site, but only for a few days. Testosterone propionate is therefore comparatively much faster acting than other testosterone esters such as cypionate or enanthate, and requires a much more frequent dosing schedule. While cypionate and enanthate are injected on a weekly basis, propionate is generally administered (at least) every third day. Figure one illustrates a typical release pattern after injection. As you can see, levels peak and begin declining quickly with this ester of testosterone. To make this drug even more uncomfortable to use, the propionate ester can be very irritating to the site of injection. In fact, many sensitive individuals choose to stay away from this steroid completely, their body reacting with a pronounced soreness and low-grade fever that may last for a few days. Even the mild soreness that is experienced by most users can be quite uncomfortable, especially when taking multiple pharmacokinetics of Testosterone propionate injections each week. The "standard" esters like in ection enanthate and cypionate, which are clearly easier to use, are therefore much more popular among athletes.

Application

The Propionate ester is much faster acting (2-3 days) than Enathate or Cypionate, and thus requires a more frequent injection schedule such as every day or every other day in order to keep blood levels as stable as possible. The benefit to this however, is that the steroid can be cleared from the body much more quickly after use is discontinued, thus making it a more preferable choice for tested athletes. Some bodybuilders also claim that Propionate tends to induce far fewer estrogen related side effects such as bloat than do the other esters of this powerful steroid.

Pharmacological effects similar to a testosterone, but slightly stronger than the latter. Because oral easily destroyed by the liver, the oral is invalid. Often intramuscular injection solution, the oil absorption is slow, strong and durable, can maintain time for just a few days.

Testosterone propionate can promote the development of male organs and secondary sex characteristic, promote protein synthesis and bone formation, estrogen, inhibit the growth of endometrium and ovary and pituitary function. Used for testosterone, cryptorchidism, male hypogonadism, gynecological diseases, such as menorrhagia, uterine fibroids, senile osteoporosis and aplastic anemia.

Medical Testosterone Propionate Dosages

Within medicine, Testosterone Propionate is primarily utilized for the treatment of androgen deficiency in adult males (hypogonadism or andropause).The original prescription guidelines stated that Testosterone Propionate doses for such a condition are that of 25mg 2 – 3 times weekly. Modern prescription guidelines and the range at 25 – 50mg administered every other day or every two days for a total of 2 – 3 times weekly.

Testosterone Propionate is also utilized, though rarely, as an adjunct therapy for female breast cancer patients, and because this is such a rare application, the prescription guidelines for such a use have never been set in stone. However, one study conducted over the course of 16 months from October 1946 – January 1948 had 12 breast cancer patients utilize Testosterone Propionate at a dose of 150mg weekly (50mg administered every other day)[1]. This particular dose would be considered far too high for females, but under the conditions it was deemed necessary.
